The PWH-0033 wind power trainer enables experimental investigation on the conversion of kinetic wind energy into electrical energy which allows the simulation of the wind power generation. The system is fabricated using real and commonly used components optimized for an excellent training experience and includes a wind source.
It features an axial flow fan with speed control, a transparent test section, and a horizontal axis wind turbine. The system also includes a DC load regulator, auxiliary battery charger, batteries, DC load module, and measuring instruments (incl. sensors and meters). The unit can also be used for testing blades and turbines designed by the user.
The system allows long duration of tests due to the use of high-quality components with a high degree of reproducibility. It also has the ability to monitor several analog and digital signals and stream these signals to a DAQ software.
