The SPPT-0033 trainer features two photovoltaic solar modules, which convert sunlight directly into electrical current, making them essential for renewable energy applications. Each module consists of silicon solar cells connected in series. The trainer allows adjustment of module inclination and enables connection of modules in series or parallel using cables. A variable resistor facilitates simulation of varying loads, enabling the recording of current-voltage curves. Key components include a separate measuring amplifier that displays relevant variables, with two power resistors expanding the measuring range for low illuminance conditions. Sensors on the solar module monitor illuminance and temperature. To ensure adequate illuminance, the trainer requires sunlight or an optional artificial light source. The SPPT-0033 can be easily expanded for grid-connected and stand-alone operations of photovoltaic modules.
